All-natural built-out wall systems
We construct sustainable, all-natural built-out wall systems with no out-gassing or chemicals. Our built-out walls have R-Values that meet or exceed stresskin panel R-Values. A built-out wall is a wall attached to the exterior of a timber frame and insulated with rigid styrofoam, fiberglass or mineral wool.
Stresskin Panels
Stresskin Panels are an enclosure system made in a factory 4 feet wide and in varying lengths. These panels utilize Urethane foam and have many different R-Values. Installation is done by a separate contract.
Strawbale Enclosures
Strawbale Enclosures are an alternative enclosure that works. Bales of straw are stacked up on top of each other and enclosed with wood framing. If you think you would like to use this insulation method, you must decide during the design process, as the roof will be designed with longer overhangs to keep water from getting into the straw. Strawbale will also affect wall thickness, windows and doors.
