What types of wood do you use to build your timber frame homes?

Because we are located in Maine, we generally use wood indigenous to Maine when building a timber frame home. We often use woods such as:

• pine

• spruce

• hemlock

• oak

 

West Coast and recycled timbers are available, also.

 

We are always open to trying different woods and seeing how well they perform with their individual beauty when the project is complete.
